Lilla Lapinskas
Lilla graduated from ETH Zurich with distinction, receiving the Willis Studer Prize for the highest GPA in her master’s program and the ETH Medal for her outstanding master’s thesis. She has over 12 years of professional and academic experience in Switzerland and Hungary, her expertise spans structural engineering, energy efficiency, landscape architecture, and urban planning, enabling her to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives from the outset of the design process. At the core of her work is a passion for sustainability, with a focus on energy-efficient, climate-responsive architecture and advanced simulation tools, ensuring that both the discipline and the built environment remain adaptable and resilient in response to evolving societal and environmental challenges. In late 2024, Lilla founded Studio Lapinskas, a platform that embodies her commitment to innovative, sustainable design. Her doctoral research at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) complements and enhances the work of the studio, as both advance in parallel, exploring these fundamental themes in greater depth.
